 2013 Infiniti JX

The 2013 Infiniti JX will shake up the status quo when the innovative 7-passenger luxury crossover joins the Infiniti lineup in spring 2012. As a fresh, bold alternative to the many flavors of vanilla currently dominating the luxury crossover segment, the all-new Infiniti JX is designed to excel in the areas that luxury crossover buyers desire most - interior flexibility and roominess, safety, and advanced hospitality features. The JX offers real 3-row utility, plus all the premium features, performance and innovations that Infiniti has become known for worldwide.

"The all-new Infiniti JX embraces family customers in a way no luxury crossover has done before - recognizing their need to grow up, but without growing old," said Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore. "Responsibility should come as a reward, rather than as a restriction on the things and activities you enjoyed as a single person or a couple."

"Every element of the Infiniti JX is designed to connect the driver and passengers to the world, rather than shield them from it as many luxury crossovers try to do. Our goal is to heighten awareness of your surroundings, so you can get more out of every day," added Poore. "Saying 'no' to boring luxury starts right here, right now with the inspired design and advanced technology of the 2013 Infiniti JX."  Read more >

  2013 Hyundai i30 Wagon

At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai has unveiled the wagon derivative of the New Generation i30 family, further broadening the model's appeal across Europe.

The New Generation i30 wagon will maintain Hyundai's reputation for producing visually-appealing, quality vehicles. The company expects the wagon bodystyle to significantly contribute to market share growth in Europe, with 30% of all New Generation i30 sales expected from the wagon derivative.

The stylish wagon shares engines and running gear with the New Generation i30 five-door, and has a longer body to create a useful increase in trunk space without compromising the model's dynamic styling.

Overall height of the wagon has increased by 30 mm compared to the New Generation i30 five-door, increasing the practical attributes of the car, while optional silver roof rails add further carrying capacity.

Adding to its practicality, the wagon's rear seats fold fully flat, boosting carrying capacity to 1.642-litres. With rear seats up, the New Generation Hyundai i30 wagon features one of the largest cabin capacity of any C-segment model at 528-litres. Read more >

2013 GMC Terrain Denali

GMC is expanding its exclusive Denali sub-brand with the debut of the 2013 Terrain Denali, bringing a new level of style and power to the luxury small SUV.

"Denali is growing fast," said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of GMC Marketing. "With seven different models, sales for this brand within a brand increased 79 percent from 2010 to 2011. With this in mind, the decision to create a more-upscale Terrain was an easy one."

With the introduction of the Terrain Denali, GMC also announced a new 3.6-liter V-6 engine with direct injection and continuously variable valve timing will replace the current 3.0-liter V-6 engine in Terrain lineup for the 2013 model year. SAE certified at 301 horsepower (224 kW) and 272 lb.-ft. (369 Nm) of torque, this engine makes more power and torque, but is expected to deliver fuel economy equal to its predecessor.

The new V-6 uses lightweight components that contribute to the Terrain's fuel efficiency while boosting its horsepower. An integrated cylinder head/exhaust manifold design saves about 13 pounds compared to a non-integrated design, while a composite intake manifold saves about 5.5 pounds vs. an aluminum intake. Additionally, a lightweight structural front cover and high-strength connecting rods save additional weight.  Read more >
